Tony’s Pizza is the real deal when it comes to authentic Italian pizza. What really surprised me was their use of a semolina crust—it gave the pizza an incredible flavor and texture that stood out from anything I’ve had this year. Honestly, this was by far the best pizza I’ve eaten all year. I ordered two slices and one giant cannoli, and everything was absolutely perfect. The shop itself feels like it was lifted straight out of Brooklyn, but right here in Newark, NJ. There’s plenty of seating available, the prices are very affordable, and their menu has a wide variety of options to choose from.

The bacon cheeseburger was very good and recommended if you want a very tasty, high quality burger and fries. Also, the zeppoli Italian donuts with cannot cream in them were out of this world good. I never had them before and would go out of my way for them. There local delivery to my hotel was great and thanks to the hotel front desk for recommending them. I would definitely go try pizza and other sandwiches next time I am in the area.
